Since my comments yesterday on Klipper and Mainsail, RIP ender 5 plus, figured out that the frame is warped which was leading to a whole bunch of issues that not even Klipper could fully compensate for. After some screwing around with a dodgy store not delivering on promised timeframes😒
I ended up getting a Elegoo Centauri Carbon for the combination of cheap and meeting my current needs.
Since I got my ender in 2019, damn have 3D printers come a long way. This thing prints like a dream, and I haven't even tuned the settings yet.
ok wow, I've had an ender 5 plus for ages, but I've always avoided printing on it because I've had some minor grievances with how it and its controller work.
One of those issues has been how it sequentially heats the bed then the hotend, (minor complaint, but an indicator of the overall issues) but I just flashed it with Klipper and running mainsail on a pi. All I can say is wow, a ton of these issues are instantly gone
