just came across the Protocols for Publishers event happening in London on February 4th & 5th directly after FOSDEM featuring @laurenshof@indieweb.social, @ben@werd.social, @saskia@backend.newsmast.org, and @aendra.com@bsky.brid.gy (as announced speakers so far)

I mistakenly wrote Feduary here instead of February but maybe thats a sign that we should call it Feduary for Fediverse-February

WHERE FEEL WORK DIFFERENT
the @wikipedia@wikis.world article about @altstore@explore.alt.store really needs to be updated, its missing so much context about its importance in the fight for open devices

Has anyone written a postmortem about the med-mastodon.com shutdown? Seems like a really bad way to get people to care about the fediverse if we keep letting this shutdown without any possible transition happen.
Someone stopped me on the way out of the store and said "you are such a nice person!" as they walked away. This should most definitely be the standard behavior when someone is putting back groceries it's sort of depressing that anyone would even see this as nice behavior.
I don't post this here to brag about "oh, I did something nice to a stranger, I hope that people think that I did something nice" but to encourage. The amount of effort it took to make this one persons day that much brighter just then was tiny but fealt increably rewarding to see the genuine surprise and smile on their face
Was grocery shopping at a Turkish market just now and the person infront of me had to put back half their groceries cause they only had 42€ on them and the stuff they putting back were like eggplants and rice and super basic important things. I put all the stuff on my side and told them to have a good new year, it was only like 10€ of stuff but they seemed so so happy. Remembering that micro acts of kindness are what makes our humanity indurable
