Something shocking happened today.

Yesterday, my parents had a security system installed in our house. While my mom was out, I was at home watching the house and working remotely.

At one point, not realizing my mom wasn't home, I called out to her loudly. The security system detected how loud I was, went off, and sent an alert to the security company with its siren blaring!

Right after that, the phone rang. It was the security company calling to check on the alarm.

"It was a false alarm! Please tell me how to turn it off. I'm not a burglar, I'm the son who lives here. I can give you my date of birth and address right now."

I was in a total panic and tried to shut off the alarm right away, but my parents hadn't told me where the key to disarm it was.

I searched the whole house and finally found it, so I was able to stick it in the alarm system and resolve the situation.

And to think, I live in this house. All I did was shout a little, and I got treated like an intruder.

Could it be that it was hit by a DDoS attack?

I'm surprised to learn that even this kind of digital signage is driven by the internet.

In exchange for that "free" thing, aren't you sacrificing something?

My father is great. He is, you know.

Since I'm not like him, it doesn't matter to me how high a position he attains, soaring so far out of reach.

I have my own quiet, simple, and peaceful daily life. What matters is that I'm there, desperately fighting the challenges right in front of me.

When transferring data of internal company award winners from Excel to PowerPoint, if you just store the data from the sheet directly into a 2-dimensional array, the code would only be about 300 lines.

However, if you ask GPT-4.1 or Sonnet 4.5 to do it, they'll use collections and dictionaries and bloat it to around 1500 lines.

Even though the result is exactly the same.

The more advanced an LLM's capabilities become, the more it tends to write overly abstract code for simple requests.

In that case, the ability to read and understand code becomes necessary, so studying coding is required more than ever.
