If you bought a slave it would be from someone who owned him. Who in turn defeated him in war of some kind (bought him from Africans who defeated him in war). You would own his labor. Is there anything else to own? The American revolutionists feared being slaves, the sign of not being a slave is owning property. There are those you exchange with and those you own. The difference is violence? (In America race was the difference.)

If aliens were coming to kill or enslave us Iβd be pro human, against killing and slavery. But thatβs pro particular humans. To be pro reproduction youβd have to be for the species, and what would that mean?
