The free fall in expectation of intelligence or gravity and decency and honesty from the whitehouse is absence of morality in the society, no expectation of compassion, honesty, just selfishness and buyer beware. A libertarian world exemplified by a major industry that thrives by exploiting its customers and whose practitioners have delusions of grandeur in inverse proportion to their creativity.

If you agree with anscombe about Hiroshima it says nothing about nuclear weapons. The indifference to civilian death could be accomplished by conventional means. I’m interested in the fear that is subservient to commander in chief, with patriotic blackmail, same as refusal to hold police accountable.

The most disturbing thing in the culture is the plasticity of life. If I don’t exist for a fixed time, if I don’t exist in a fixed body (is this the same thing?) I don’t need to exist at all? Everyone has always said this about technology, that humanity would lose itself? Until say? There are no purposes in the universe but human purposes.
