Wildfires have scorched more than 40,000 hectares of land so far this year across the UK – an area more than twice the size of the Scottish city of Glasgow.

Got to admire the Guardian's chutzpah.
It headlines Mo Salah's righteous criticism of Uefa over Israel's murder of Suleiman Al-Obeid, then, throughout the article, maintains the passive tense, with no indication of who killed 421 Palestinian footballers or destroyed 288 sports facilities in Gaza.

Hanif Kureishi, Brian Eno, Elif Shafak, George Monbiot, Benjamin Myers, Geoff Dyer and Sarah Hall also signed the letter, which advocates the cessation of all “trade, exchange and business” with Israel.
