One of the problems with the fediverse(s) is that there are in fact cash costs to compute share, and we can't wave it away with VC and ad revenue. There's no economy of scale and complete self-hosting costs hundreds/month even if your admin&mod team is volunteers.
Which is why I'm really keen to see Canadian-built SMEs like https://GoFedi.com joining https://FediHost.com offering pocket-change-coffee-money price points for managed hosts!

So I barely got to know a thing about GitHub anyway (not a developer, I just follow projects I like/want to support some how).
If I WERE to start looking for someplace to stash my silly learning-to-data-with-python noodling, what do I start looking at now?
Or do I just keep this littered heap of whatever my last course instructor told me to do do on my HD somewhere?
