I’ll say it again, for the people in the back, if you are making a new icon that is only a reference to the shapes in the previous icon you have made a huge mistake. The reason the loupe was there was that it was part of the metaphor. This upside down cup, which weirdly has perspective in a world of flattened icons, just sits on a blue background, and doesn’t say anything about Preview. It relies on someone being familiar with the history of the icon.
