Hi Fedi, I'm Jess, #lefty West #Yorkshire lass born and bred. Married #lezza.
Software dev by day working for a marine technology company - I don't really talk about that much tho. Disc jockey by night as "Mrs R's #Retro Roadshow", played from 7" #vinyl records. I refurb old disco kit - lights and decks.
Big #TOTP witterer.
Got a studio in Wakefield, had a career as a #queer musician which I'll return to sometime. If you search online for "The Bleeding Obvious", that's me.
#cats, obviously.
Once again I am turning my mind to Mrs R's Retro Radio Show...
Going through Roadshow promo pics and I think this is one of my favourites. Full venue, happy Jess, records playing.
Ooh. Just realised Debian trixie's out. That's next week's job then...
Definite bonus of working from home on days like this: being able to work in a bikini while sitting outside.
Soak-testing a smoke machine out back, and wondering how long before next door thinks our house is on fire.
Think I've found an acceptable alternative to Tolex cab covering - 0.8mm faux-leather PU. Sample which arrived has passed muster, so I've ordered 5m of it to try on these light boxes.
New band saw has arrived. Is lovely.
Yesterday's disco, a really enjoyable one too: families, kids, and a banger of a selection.
I bloody love my "other job".

I had a lovely day at Wakefield Community Pride. Itβs nice to feel part of a community like that, something I donβt get from commercial Prides.
Letβs do it again next year? Please?
