Queer, non-binary, and still figuring out what those mean for me.

I'm a tech-focused person most of the time, so if that's you too, definitely follow my tech-focused account:

Alrighty, "pinned #introduction post on the new account" time!

First, you should follow me over at
@CiscoJunkie@techhub.social if you're looking for more tech-focused content. (There's also an intro there: https://techhub.social/@CiscoJunkie/111094532515346271)

Second, you should know that I'm just starting my journey as someone
#agender and figuring out what that means for me. I'm trying to connect with other folks who are in a similar boat; with other areas of my life, I've found a sense of community to be very important for big changes.

I'm in the process of working through some complex stuff around sexuality, relationships, and neurodivergence. I am going to keep this post pinned and updated with books I highly recommend for those who want to dig into these topics.

1. "Life Isn't Binary," by Alex Iantaffi and Meg-John Barker
2. "Ace" by Angela Chen
3. "Neuroqueer Heresies" by Nick Walker
4. "The Anxious Person’s Guide to Non-Monogamy" by Lola Phoenix

If a book ends up on this list, it's because it presented concepts/insights in ways that fundamentally changed my view/approach to one or more topicsβ€”the kind of book that lets you "rethink" something you may have thought settled.

I may re-boost this if I add something.

Any #seattle area folks have a recommendation for a queer-friendly psychiatrist or other provider who can do psych med management?

I've been leaning on Talkiatry for just over a year now, and while my initial experience was very good, I've switched providers twice in the last year. My latest provider is Fineβ„’β„’, but seems very checked out.

I'm at a point where my conditions and my med regimen are very stable; any changes at this point would be minor tweaks as needed. My PCP has specifically said she's
not comfortable managing my psych meds, which is too bad, because she's amazing.

Today has been slow, but better.

I spent some time cleaning out my laptop to hopefully help with an overheating issue, and I'm doing my nails now. Keeping my hands busy between work tasks has been pretty effective at keeping me from being "stuck in my head" today.

I'm still feeling pretty low, but also supported. A lot of that was from y'all, so thank you.

I've been hesitant to ask for anything, but recent events have made money really tight. We'll be in a much better spot in a couple of weeks, but in the meantime, I'd deeply appreciate any support you can provide.
