It's slowly getting clear to me that I have to pay (support) for the digital services I'm using.
Otherwise said services have to close down or worse: turn me into a product by: 🐹
1. selling my attention (ads)
2. cranking the "engagement" algorithm to the max in order to get more of my attention (see 1)
3. selling my private information to whoever pays for it. (this can be very dangerous)
All of these things create a hidden cost that is WAY higher than a subscription
