Today's post is important for anyone who have a old #Keybase account.
If you had one 2019 you got some free magic internet money.
Someone one the internet is willing to pay a lot of real money for that, around ~500 euro. So if you have a bit of time, I recommend putting those money into some good use.
Donate them to charity for example, or just splurge on yourself. Anything is better than leaving them lying there.
I wrote a quick #blaugust post about it https://blog.nyman.re/2025/08/13/putting-your-crypto-you-didnt.html
I have been doing myname+website@example.com for ... 10+ years.
And it's been useful only once during that time.
I found one of my old twitter threads about that time and made it into a blog post.
Enjoy

Finally got my logcheck idea into a useful enough state that I released it, and took the opportunity to blog about it as part of #blaugust
It's most vibe code (the helper not the blog), and it might upset some, but hopefully it's useful enough to be a net positive. There are a lot of waste in this world and at least these electrons didn't get used for magic money.

Another #blaugust micro.blog post (less than 320chars). I hope I'm forgiven :-)
In my defence I was vibe coding something I'm writing a real post about.
And vibe coding is quite addictive. I'm not the one to come up with the slot machine comparison, but I wanted to say that it can be true and still be a good thing.
The other addictive things I do is
Drink coffee
Play video games
Neither which creates anything useful.

If #LLMs make your work too easy, you probably need to start exercising your brain to keep it healthy. Like going to brain gym an hour per day
I haven't gotten into the routine of doing this myself yet, but I will try.
I wrote a bit more on this in my 8th #blaugust post https://blog.nyman.re/2025/08/08/we-will-need-a-gym.html
This was an interesting reflection on AI in class. I think something like this will need to be taught in school, preferably early and repeated every few years to account for development in AI
