Today, I can finally say that I have been working on #StarTrekPicard for the last 2+ years. For now, I just want to express my gratitude to @DaveBlass and @TerryMatalas. It means the world to me to be part of your team! Thank you very much for "letting me help". π
How often did Picard sit down on his ready room couch on #StarTrekTNG? It happened much more often than most of you think (see yesterday's poll): He's seen sitting down on the couch 26 times, across 7 seasons of #StarTrekTNG. "Cause and Effect" is the only episode where he sits down twice... ;-)
#StarTrekSNW "Through the Lens of Time" spoilers
I was surprised but happy when we finally found out Ensign Gamble's first name at the very end of #StarTrekSNW's "Through the Lens of Time". I hadn't noticed that earlier in the episode, "D. Gamble" is visible on his backpack and that his full name, Dana Gamble, appears on a medical display a little later.
This is my absolutely favourite ready room window moment, occuring in #StarTrekTNG's "First Contact". Mirasta Yale has indeed been prepared for the realities of space travel all her life - evidenced by her reflection in the window, surrounded by stars! This is such a wonderful moment! π§΅

Here you can see all four versions of the Enterprise-D ready room couch on #StarTrekTNG, all at a glance:

Season 1, second β

Seasons 2-3 β
οΈ
Seasons 4-7 β
οΈ
In #StarTrekTNG's "Cause and Effect"β¬
οΈ, Picard can almost be seen lying on the couch but his boots are not touching the upholstering! ;-). The side of the couch (the small table needed to be removed for this) can be seen nicely in "Chain of Command II"β¬
οΈ. Notice the grey leather couch frame. 4/5
For the 2364 ready room scenes in the #StarTrekTNG finale "All Good Things"β¬
οΈ, the ready room couch from season 1 ("The Naked Now"β¬
οΈ) obviously couldn't be brought back, so we anachronistically see the season 4-7 couch instead. Some more ready room couch bits and pieces in the coming days! 5/5
Seasons 4-7 feature more ready room couch shots filmed from behind the couch, Interestingly, all these shots appear in Q episodes (#StarTrekTNG's "Qpid"β
οΈ and "True Q"β
οΈβ
οΈβ
οΈ). Seems as if Q is already watching! For these shots, the back wall of the ready room needed to be removed again. 3/5

#StarTrekTNG's "Darmok" features the best look we ever get at the upholstering fabric covering the Enterprise-D ready room couch. We can see Picard's Homeric Hymns resting on the couch. 2/5

After the Enterprise-D ready room couch was refurbished before season 4, it never changed again until the end of #StarTrekTNG ("Qpid"β
οΈ, "Ethics"β
οΈ, "Lessons"β
οΈ, "Preemptive Strike"β

#StarTrekSNW "Through the Lens of Time" spoilers
Here are four star charts, focusing on the area to the "East" of Federation space, as seen in four #StarTrekSNW episodes ("A Quality of Mercy", "Strange New Worlds", "Subspace Rhapsody" and "Through the Lens of Time", top to bottom). There's overlap but at the top is "North" and at the bottom "South".
