An owl, perched on a branch in the night, looks at you with big, orange eyes, its lethal silhouette profiled by the white disc of the Moon, which also lits some clouds from below, because the drawing was a bit empty. The mood is eery but comical.

This is a long shot but: does anyone know of photo or video reference of a duck trying to scare away anything in more or less this fashion?

I'll still do it cartoony (the duckings stay), but a reality check for mama's wings wouldn't hurt.

ICE isn't the Gestapo, it's the Brownshirts, which is worse.

I'm no historian, but I think this guy on the video is right and you might find the distinction interesting:

I painted this one on a phone at the hospital, when I got diagnosed with mine.
I was coming to terms with having to spend long periods of time in bed, not being able to paint and sculpt metal and stone like i used to, so I decided that at least I could use my phone to keep playing with colour and shape. That's how my pixel art thing started.

(This was going to be cast in brass, until some guy dropped it on the ground and utterly destroyed it. An incomplete process photo is the only thing left)

I arranged found Araucaria leaves so they evoked the motion of algae in water.

Several twisted and brown dry araucaria leaves (they look like spiky twigs) are attached to a tilted brown wax cube, which rests on top of a white plasticine cube of the same size (this was temporary). All of it is on a wooden table with some dirty metal tools, drops and pieces of wax. The leaves extend from a diagonal plane of the cube, starting close together and getting more separated at the end, describing sinuous shapes.
