Paper birch

Animal tracks

Snow with tracks of a small animal with a tail. Pairs of deeper impressions, with curved thin lines from the tail. Tracks of an animal that walks with its rear paws almost directly in the prints of the front paws, but not quite exactly, so there's a single print that appears to have seven toes where there was overlap. My boot is there for scale, women's size 10, and the double paw print is about as wide as my foot and about half as long. A trail of tiny animal prints, shallow pairs of impressions in the snow. It looks like it hopped along and under a couple of snow covered logs.

I had a beautiful walk on the mountain! Next time I'll take my crampons lol but for today I stuck to a more flat trail.

Outside the fence of the neighbor who inspired me to plant coralberry plants. They have a big established bush with bright pink berries. And around the corner they have this apparent hybrid volunteer that looks like a cross between Coralberry and snowberry. It's so subtle. I planted my coralberry and snowberry plants next to each other, so with any luck, maybe I'll eventually get something like this too.

The front yard of a house that has recently been sold, and they're clearing out their old junk. There are fallen brown leaves in the lawn, a matching pair of reclining loveseats in a very 80s style upholstery, with one seat reclined, and a pair of matching hers and his bicycles, the same color and brand, but one with the straight crossbar and the other one a step through style crossbar appropriate for riding while wearing a skirt.

I got my first AI-written recruiter pitch. The message was totally garbled, mixing in true stuff from my resume and made-up garbage about companies I never worked for, mentioning an unrelated open position before moving on to the position they were pitching to me. Then the best part: "If you're still reading this, it means I got your attention." Um yeah, technically true, like watching a train wreck. Signed by a recruitment "expert".
