Falling
And zooming

A large icicle hanging from a metal structure, with a concrete wall in the background. A couple of waterdrops are falling midair Zooming in on the previous photo, we see the larger waterdrop more clearly. Although we don't see the blue sky and red sign in the photo itself, we see them reflected in the waterdrop. An even closer zoom on the waterdrop, and now we see a much tinier waterdrop above it, with the same blue sky and red sign reflected.

I've posted these before but I was appreciating them again in the early morning sunlight today. Hand made by two of my great grandmas.
I don't want to use them on a bed and risk wearing them out, but I also don't want to keep them hidden away in storage.

A cream colored crocheted bedspread, attached to a red backing fabric, hanging on a beige wall. We see it from an angle because it's over some stairs. A quilt with simple four square blocks and brown sashing between the blocks. The fabrics are random - it's a true scrap quilt, made from bits of worn clothing and linens. It's displayed on a beige wall.

A coworker just mentioned in an email that he's watching the Olympics every day. And I thought, oh yeah, that's a thing that's happening, that other people care about. Huh.

So, theoretically for now (fingers crossed it becomes practical), if I had a couple of days to visit Wales for the first time, in the summer, what should I see? Where should I go?

Gah filling out passport applications. Ridiculous requirements. Canada says you have to use adobe to fill out the application, can't use another pdf reader or web browser. So I had to install it just for this, which took forever and gave me numerous gratuitous popups, then uninstalled it, which again took forever with inexplicable errors and also opened up their website without consent to fill out a survey.

Bonus points for dumping directly underneath the no littering sign

A utility pole with a no littering sign and a no dog poop sign and a $500 fine sign. At the base of the pole, mostly buried in snow, somebody has dumped a large white cabinet with a mirror. A closer look at the white cabinet, with my bike reflected in the mirror.
