Itβs a filthy rich billionaire's world and they love their borders they create and enforce. Iβve moved so many times to survive. So many sacrifices. Iβm tired and thereβs not much earning potential left in todayβs world for the privilege of moving. Best I can do now is shelter in place and face the music.
I remember when retirement was 55. Oh, they changed that. My pension is now 65. If I move out of the country, what happens when they destroy both my pension and retirement. I would be a homeless immigrant, worse than where Iβm now. These are not good times for those who have to work to survive.
Here, raising the pension age and banning masks and vaccinations. They want us to die when we stop working. What a world.
My first phishing text message that looked convincing, targeting my pension account, "verify your address." Of course I didn't click on the link, oh hell no! I traced the number to spammer fraud web pages. When I get home, I'll see who their hosting provider is, etc.
That link could have wiped out my retirement. With the fraud safety government offices closed, this is going to be one of many attempts to remove our last strings of survival...

In the last three years, I have lost count how many people Iβve worked closely with has been taken away by Covid. Yesterday, one of the best guys Iβve worked with seemed fine when he arrived at work. An hour later, the fire department picked him up from the locker room floor.
This is the first time in my long career I have lost people. It was always retirement and they would start drinking and pass away. But this Covid is getting people before they can retire. I was talking with an old friend I started my career with thirty years ago across the country and he said the same thing. He said most of his neighbors are gone. Covid got them.
Why I keep wearing a mask. And interviewing, hiring, and training. This is all new. Hiring new people was only to replace those who retired.
I remember when that clown claimed this was a hoax. Itβs turned my life upside down and this is the new normal.

A council of crows convened on the tree in the neighbor's yard.
From the remaining branches of a tree, they had a lively discussion
A contractor had pruned many of the majestic branches
and left these branches of the tree in a pile
A crow spoke up, declaring what has happened here was no accident
The other crows continued to echo this call for action
This tree has weathered great storms of our many generations
This tree has protected and provided us with many fruits
The branches removed can never been replaced
In these uncertain times
What happened to this tree shall be remembered
A garrison of mosquitoes has been activated
And some are already on patrol
We must remain vigilant and protect those who have protected us

Another perfect day in the country, off grid, laying on my front porch next to the solar garden. The native wildflowers and wasps keep the biting insects away. Diverse groups of birds surround the area with a network of beautiful communication with the gentle breeze.
