Does the #nobridge tag work? I couldn't find any documentation right away. I think if you put it in your profile, it's supposed to prevent bridging of your account to other platforms like #Bluesky. Or maybe it's more human-oriented, as a request to other users.

I set it in my profile(s) and also blocked the bridging bot & the whole bsky.brid.gy domain. I'm not sure if the tag helps or matters.

I have my own ideas about #AltText that don’t have much to do with #accessibility, though that’s also a fine argument. And I admit AltText is a deterrent to posting media at times.

But I’m far from the first to say this: AltText is not really optional on #Mastodon. Many UIs (web particularly) can detect text in images. You probably need to edit, but it’s a head start over typing it all by hand.

New instance, new #introduction. This may only end up being a temporary account for troubleshooting. My usual account is @darth_hideout@c.im. There’s a pinned post there that explains in more detail, but I’ve been experiencing a lot of delays there. At least a new account may help shed light on the problem. I may settle in more permanently. Probably won’t delete or migrate the other account tho.
