Is there market research that shows that a company will make more sales if they mess up their search so it tries to guess what you want always pushing the most popular categories and ignoring your search terms?
Every week I discover another search engine is broken.
Search for “cuneiform” on etsy and get “uniforms”
Search for “titanium water bottle” on aliexpress and get all kinds of bottles most not titanium.
I am trying to spend money and it’s hard to find what I want.
