Including foreign films, Netflix currently has 4,822 movies. And many of those were obviously chosen because the streaming rights were super cheap.

Disney+ has just over 1200 films on offer, and Paramount+ has rights to about 4000, although it's not clear how many are available at any one time.

For comparison, your typical Blockbuster had over 10,000 films, and that was considered pretty average for a video store.

I am resisting the temptation to taste it for myself.

New development : Ark found my roll of packing tape and I caught him trying to unspool it.

Now I've got a few inches of fresh packing tape that have cat spit on them instead of glue.

Going to have to put that somewhere he can't reach it.

WHY WOULD A CAT LICK THE GLUE OFF PACKING TAPE? THAT'S A STUPID THING TO DO.

Ark's other culinary obsession is pulling packing tape off cardboard boxes and licking the glue off the tape until it's just a sheet of plastic.

I sure hope that glue is non-toxic.

Oh, so if I buy the wrong brand of cat foot, Ark isn't remotely interested. He only wants to eat things he's eaten before.

But if
I'm eating a snack, suddenly he's all about trying new foods.

@Taweret@timeloop.cafe For completeness, here's the posters for Grizzly and Little Shop of Horrors.

Grizzly is a blatant Jaws rip-off or parody.

Little Shop of Horrors is fun. Like an illustration from a grim children's book.

@Taweret@timeloop.cafe "The Asphyx" poster is pretty low effort.

It's just a collage someone put together with scissors.

I suppose it has a sort of lo-fi grunge charm, but they probably weren't going for that.

@Taweret@timeloop.cafe "Food of the Gods" also has a good poster, but I like this book cover better.
