alina's programing journey

many years ago, my nazi father told me to go learn C++ as my first programming language if i ever want to be a big boy and make money.
a few years later, my conservative gamer uncle told me to learn Visual Basic if i ever want to be a big boy and make money.
a week after that, my gay hippie cousin (not the autistic gradle core dev who i never really got to talk to) told me to learn python if i want to actually learn programming.
1.5 years after the third incident, i fell in love with a girl over twitter when i was 16 and she ended up teaching me programming because we found out through me accidentally doxxing her that we only lived 10km apart in the middle of fucknowhere of lower bavaria. she started with x86 assembly, went over to the foundations of C, then we installed arch linux on my laptop together and then she let me do my own shit. and i will be forever grateful to her.
the first language that i actually mastered after that was Nix, because it revolutionized most of what i did until then.

it has been snowing all day in berlin, as if a dream came true!!

does anyone want to share their an eSIM or physical SIM from their AS3320/DTAG unlimited cellular data contract with me until i can afford one myself? it gets cheaper with every additional person in the contract up until 5 people, but i dont know anyone who would be willing to switch or share theirs

i havent had cellular data in way too long and being able to work outside of libraries would be lifesaving atm

my housing crisis

visiting my grandparents was the worst mistake i've made all year, all it taught me was fear and loathing in my pain

privacy is a privilege - i"m not allowed to lock any doors behind me and if i do anyway they will break it down and beat me up or worse

not being threatened with violence is a privilege

internet is a privilege but even if it wasn't they still wouldn't give it to me because they think the internet is evil and they have no clue how to set it up

public transport infrastructure is a privilege - i cant go anywhere because all distances require a car and there are only hills and mountains and forests everywhere

reading books is a privilege, there are none and i have to ask to be driven to the library

not having all my belongings searched for drugs is a privilege, i thought this place was at least safe as storage unit but they opened every single parcel i sent here to then defame me because they found weed which i havent found the time to smoke in literal weeks lmfao

not being misgendered is a privilege, not being deadnamed is a privilege

not freezing to death is a privilege, i had to craft a makeshift heated blanket because they removed the heating from my room before housing me

so turns out the guy who broke into my apartment at night two days ago with his own key wasn't my landlord but actually some kind of goon/henchmen sent by a manager of LifeX. that manager was ordered by the CEO of LifeX to take care of "the problem" (me), and now the buff 40 year old russian goon guy came back to scare and evict me and framed his company structures like you'd usually only hear in mafia movies. he was pretty pissed at me because he thought i would show any resistance, and announced that the CEO personally wants to ruin me with however many lawyers and police he can send if i'm not out in a few hours....
but i just explained him my whole situation; how i'm just a 20 year old student who got hired and fired by AWS without ever being allowed to work on a single project, scammed by AWS's relocation provider and thrown away into debt, how i just dropped out of university a few months ago, how this company has treated me like shit and made me pay 2400€/month for 60m² and the only contact method i had was an AI chatbot in their app and that i dont give a damn whether they're gonna take all my money because there are more important things in life than that

and suddenly he just became the most wholesome guy ever and gave me another 6 hours and agreed with everything i said - presumably because he vented to me how his manager screams at him all the time because of me (i have literally never spoken to or seen any of those people in my life) and i told him that he doesn't deserve being treated like that...

he enlightened me about what i had already suspected; that this building in particular exclusively houses a very gated and 'high society' community who will literally ruin me just to have their peace

and yeah, my neighbor next door is the CEO of a payment processor and my other neighbor is the product manager of Wikimedia DE/Wikipedia Germany, but holy fuck the more he elaborated the more clear it became how this was all full of corruption, exploitation and violent crimes against human dignity

i told him i'm gonna move to my grandma who's the kindest person on earth, back to rural bavaria, where there are pretty sceneries and farm animals everywhere and he was visibly amused

he said i should take life easy, one hour at a time if day by day doesnt work, that i should just smoke some weed and enjoy youth while it lasts and that Berlin indeed probably isn't the right place for me - "problems come and go when you're still young, don't worry too much about it" he said

and if not for that last part i certainly would now have a personal vendetta against his CEO to hunt him down and ruin his entire damn company

he warned me that by 1800 CET his CEO will send the police and lawyers and whatnot to further evict me but i just asked "so what are they gonna do, help me carry my stuff out which i'm literally already doing myself for the past days?". we both had a good laugh about it

fuck LifeX. fuck venture capitalism.
