Long ago I had to take my father to a nursery home.
He was doing ok. Recognised good and bad people.
I noticed a ward with beds and about 20 zombies were lying there, dying there.

My dad was, so they told, difficult to maintain. They started a treatment.
Next day my dad had turned into a zombie, unable to express himself, unable to walk.

I became angry and they stopped their treatment, giving him some life back.
I realised later that they get paid by client, the zombies in bed are cheaper.

On this day, five years ago, I died and came back as a geriatric without any energy.
From the outside nothing can be seen but I only have half a day to do things.
I find it all hard to accept.

I should be happy to survive my accident but that happiness is fading. I still have my bad sense of humor and I am capable of doomscrolling on Mastodon.

But that's about it.
