Links to some short stories I wrote a little while ago (free to read, but on my ko-fi page because I kind of use it as a blog):

Just realised I still have these packs of small hex-head metric bolts and nuts, as well as some small rivets, which I have no current use for, so if anyone would like to buy them, I'm selling at 60% retail. They are good quality German machined (not rolled) fastenings, and there's quite a lot of them; sorted by diameter/thread and length.
M1 (1.5mm hex)
5mm brass bolts x175
brass nuts x225
M1.4 (2mm hex)
8mm steel bolts x525
12mm steel bolts x75
steel nuts x75
M2 (3mm hex)
6mm steel bolts x450
8mm steel bolts x25
15mm steel bolts x75
steel nuts x25
M3 (4mm hex)
15mm steel bolts x18
steel nuts x50
Brass round-head rivets
1.6mm x 8mm x200
Selling at AU$8 per 25 (where possible, some are in packs of 250) if you just want a few, or $500 for the lot. Or best offer.
(I estimate the weight at about 1.5kg, so postage would be around $12 within AU, or around $60 overseas).
A preview build of my game TakeAway has now been released on Itch for linux and windows PCs.
There's still a lot to do, but I felt now was a good time to let people have a look and hopefully have a bit of fun:

Amusing moment when I was visiting family down south last month:
Cousin: "So when <grown-child> was diagnosed with #autism we started looking into it more, and we think it might actually be quite common in the family."
Table of 30+ related folks: nods in sync
Because I'm curious: What's your preferred way to cross between platforms at a train station?
Particularly for disabled folk, bicyclists, and those who can't use the stairs (or would rather not).
Note that barrow crossings (crossing the tracks at rail level) are deliberately not included for safety reasons.

There's been some roadworks on the way back from work for the past couple of nights; on a stretch I usually go pretty fast along.
So I've actually had to slow down and watch my speed, as the limit through the roadworks is slower than my usual.
A fairly rare experience.

Sometimes at work there are orders that I can't process (for various reasons), so I write down how many boxes there are and send the paperwork up to the office for them to sort out.
I also write the last few digits of the order number, and the box count (1/1, 1/2, 2/2, etc) on the boxes for identification...
Today I had the great joy of writing on a box:
1111 1/1
This may be the highlight of my warehousing career.
I've been paying for stuff with cash lately; people are so confused.
They have the card machine all ready to go and then I hand them a note, and it takes them a while to work out what to do with it.

Stupidity is the same.
That's why life is hard."

Today's work 'fun': Someone overloaded a pallet, didn't wrap it right, and then all 1.6 tonnes of it came off the forklift and went all over the dispatch yard.
Oh.
I have found white steel cap safety shoes. In a wide range of sizes.
They're going to get filthy, but I don't care, I want them. Swap the laces for some pink or purple ones and they'll be amazing.
Just had to delete about a hundred photos like this from my phone, apparently it decided the inside of my handlebar bag needed its picture taken, a lot.
I blame the head wind.

So government issued photo ID doesn't include a gender marker anymore. That's kind of cool.
