Tip that I just thought of for #SecretSantaAoNZ: follow as many people as possible using the hashtag so you can follow your giftee without them guessing it’s you.

Struggled with trying to hide last time I did it so I didn’t follow giftee but manually searched them out periodically. Which do y’all think is better for maintaining anonymity?

I’m just going to try spamming the follow button this year ;)

Clues for my #SecretSantaAoNZ 2025:
1. I’m a dad to two under fives; a 1 year old boy and 4 year old girl.
2. I love D&D, I have a growing collection of polyhedral dice (the kind with all the different shapes of dice in pretty colours). Favourite colours are blue, green, yellow and purple (but not all four at the same dice set πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰)
3. My wife @MichaelaKHulse@mastodon.nz and I love gardening, particularly growing food plants and natives. She is also playing this game.
4. I’m a big consumer of whole bean coffee, we have a grinder and an espresso machine. Also like caffeine-free tea sometimes in the evening. Rooibos is usually my go to but I do branch out.

Dislikes: Socks as gifts. I have a neurospicy thing where I need all my socks to be the same and I’ve found the set I like and buy β€˜em in bulk once in a while.

Why on earth do publishers do this? It drives me nuts!

Why not just pick a book size and keep it consistent for the whole series?
