Sharonbw stands with MinnesotaI made the mistake of heading outside a few minutes ago to clean + refill the bird bath and bird feeders. It felt like a sauna out there - oppressive! So much for thinking things would cool down.

Sharonbw stands with MinnesotaGood morning! I woke up having to put on a sweater, but it has already climbed from the 60’s into the 70’s so the sweater has been ditched. It’s time to close the windows against the increasing heat.
Every year I make wall calendars for family members, using photos of the year’s activities. I think I’ll review our photos so far and start to gather potential choices. Once September activities start, time gets away from me. It’s better to get things started.

Sharonbw stands with MinnesotaGood morning! This morning is nice and cool, so I'll be out shortly to walk. Yesterday I found a couple of fallen red leaves. Every August there are some overachievers to remind me that autumn is coming eventually.
The vegetable garden is topsy-turvy. The peppers have not done well at all, which is unusual for us, and the cucumbers have been slow. The corn was a total bust, though it was fun to try. Thank goodness for the better than normal yield of tomatoes. Keep 'em coming!

Sharonbw stands with MinnesotaHappy #Caturday! Ringo is going to spend his day keeping an eye on my husband who is working in the yard. The cat is always on alert when his favorite person is outdoors. Ringo takes his job seriously as M’s personal greeter whenever M comes back inside. (The rest of us can go pound sand.)
