In Texas there are:
- 8,133,683 registered Democrats
- 6,601,189 registered Republicans

- 4 solid blue counties
- 216 solid red counties

Texas isn't a red state. It's a rigged state.

If Einstein was never born, somebody or some combination of somebodys would have still discovered the theory of relativity, eventually.

Whereas if Beethoven was never born, nobody in history would have ever recreated the Ninth Symphony, FΓΌr Elise, the Pathetique, or the Moonlight Sonata.

That is why education in the arts is so important and valuable to the human race. Science exists independent of us. And if nobody discovers it today, somebody will tomorrow, or the next day, or the day after that. But music, dance, art, sculpture... these are created BY us. They are an extension of and a direct expression of our humanity.

So if you aren't the next Einstein or Hawking, don't worry too much about it. Somebody out there is, or will be. But there is and will ever be, only one YOU. And you owe the world the art that only you can make.

Seems to me like the party that says it's all about protecting women and children might care a little more about the guy raping em.

If an immigrant can come to this country with no education, no resources, no training, and no ability to read, speak or write the English language and somehow steal your job then brother you are fucking dumb as rocks and should have paid more attention in grade school.

Maybe the devil lost that fiddling contest in Georgia because gold is kind of a shitty material to make a whole violin out of

The funniest thing about Texas trying to rig the vote to get 5 more red seats in Congress is that these dipshits truly have been huffing their own fumes. I honestly believe that they have absolutely no idea how many people actually live in blue states. All they see is that one map that colors in huge swaths of empty farmland red.

The thing is, red states have already gerrymandered most of that farmland into oblivion and now there's just no more juice to wring from it. Meanwhile blue states have been mostly playing by the rules and creating district maps that more or less reflect accurately the varied nature of their voters, or even favoring the red voters slightly in the interest of avoiding even the appearance of bias.

But look if Texas wants to get down in the mud and play dirty, blue states absolutely DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS, nor SHOULD THEY. It would be trivial to redraw the maps of California, New York, and Illinois to gain 20-23 seats, and that's without even gerrymandering a single one. If we get down in the muck with them and play dirty, we could easily add 30-40 seats or more by giving the Texas treatment to those three PLUS the states of Washington, Oregon, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Minnesota, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.

So look, Texas. What you're doing is shitty. But if you really want to fuck around and play this game, go right ahead. We'll win.

Article 1, Section 10: Limits the powers of states
Clause 2 Import-Export

"No State shall, without the Consent of the Congress, lay any Imposts or Duties on Imports or Exports, except what may be absolutely necessary for executing its inspection Laws: and the net Produce of all Duties and Imposts, laid by any State on Imports or Exports, shall be for the Use of the Treasury of the United States; and all such Laws shall be subject to the Revision and Control of the Congress."

Without this paragraph, individual MAGA states can now impose their own tariffs on goods imported from or exported to other states. And the money collected from such tariffs can now be used directly by state governments and do not have to be sent directly to the federal Treasury.

For example, Texas could declare all imports from California are subject to a 500% import tariff, or that all Texas goods exported to New York are subject to a 500% export tariff. And the money collected by those tariffs can be used by Texas itself for any reason.

Article 1, Section 10: Limits the powers of states
Clause 3 Acts Requiring Consent of Congress

"No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay."

Without this paragraph, individual states can now declare war on foreign governments, or on other states. This literally recreates the civil war era Confederacy.
