Migrants commit crime at much lower levels than everyday Americans, so if you need a special police force that ignores the law to stop migrant crime, you should have one for everyone and WOAH look, you just reinvented fascism again.

Following the designation, Meta, the provider of WhatsApp, has four months, i.e. by mid-May 2026, to ensure WhatsApp complies with the additional DSA obligations for VLOPs. These obligations include duly assessing and mitigating any systemic risks, such as violations of fundamental human rights and freedom of expression, electoral manipulation, the dissemination of illegal content and privacy concerns, stemming from its services.
Following its designation as a very large online platform, the Commission will be competent to supervise WhatsApp’s compliance with the DSA, in cooperation with Coimisiún na Meán, the Irish Digital Services Coordinator.

Remember that the violence and brutality of ICE is outrageous, but it's not the only problem with the administration's immigration enforcement surge. It started out being about the "worst of the worst" (violent criminals), then quickly morphed to include anyone found with a status violation. But now they're CREATING status violations by mass revoking visas (especially of asylum seekers).

Many of the people being targeted and detained followed all the rules and committed no crimes or violations.
