Reading. Reading made me want to write. Greek and Roman myths, legends and stories from all over the world, Alice in Wonderland, Narnia, ghost stories, all of it. Before that, Mom reading to us kids, Mother Goose, Dr. Seuss, Winnie the Pooh. When I was five, I could hardly stand the wait for first grade, where I would learn to make letters, put them together and make words, put those together and express ideas.
Read to your kids.

Mom home after hospital admission yesterday. She's fine. A scare, but nothing dire. Sis and I this morning agree that the cement mixer won this round. We are knackered, but relieved. Those hospital Torquemada recliners are murder on the lower back.
Hubby and Kitty were so sweet. They missed me. ❤

Minor adjustment to her weekly food prep, but we rejoice that she still may eat enchiladas, tacos, lasagna--anything but seeds or food that might hide tiny bone chips. Not cancer, phew!
