CarolynI think the Distillery District is the only pedestrian-only area in Toronto, at least of which I'm aware. It's a charming historic area, with wonderful shops that range from chocolate to coffee to furniture, some pubs and restaurants, sculptures, fargo trucks... It can get crowded, probably more so since the condos have been finished, but it's worth a wander.

CarolynWith outdoor photography, you can only plan. What you get is completely at the whim of Mother Nature. We were staying with a friend about 20 min from Peggy's Cove, NS. We wanted sunrise images at Peggy's Cove, so got up before sunrise, left under clear skies, and drove into fog so thick we could barely see. Peggy's Cove was a whiteout. But we wandered about and after sunrise, the fog began to lift. We didn't get magic light, but magic was still there.
