I think, if the United States is about to start bombing half a continent because Trump is a fucking Nazi and Marco Rubio wants to be the Foster Dulles of our times, risking American lives and burning American financial resources in some misguided quest to relitigate the 1960's and the fall of overt American colonialism in Latin America, people have a right to know that is what's going on, and that these muppets are CLEARLY AND OBVIOUSLY FUCKING LYING when they say it is about drugs.

What's amazing is on one hand you have a President threatening to bomb multiple countries in Latin America with left-leaning governments, and on the other hand at the exact same time Trump is pardoning some fascist shitlord former Honduran president who absolutely got convicted for taking millions in bribes to protect cocaine traffickers who were shipping to the US. Any very good dog could tell you this is about ideology and imperialism, not drugs. But it is RARELY mentioned in media analysis.

Hunter S Thompson once wrote that "the NFL is the last bastion of fascism in America" and while he was wrong on two points (it's all of football, not just the NFL, and "last" was far too optimistic) the overall sentiment is correct.

I cannot really justify my love of football - I'm like the pacifist who keeps my war medals on the mantle in that regard.

But this is THEIR game, not mine. Because football and fascism are kissing cousins.
