Apparently the EU totally can (and has before) reject US sanctions and ban EU companies from complying with them. Slovenia is allegedly pushing to do this in the case of the ICC.

Holy shit am I tired of the "vinyl is objectively superior because it's analog" bullshit. Look, I adore my record collection and I'm nostalgic as fuck for the unique sound a turntable with a vinyl record and a tube amplifier create.

But there's so much error at nearly every stage of the production and playing of a vinyl record that any claim of objective superiority is just stupid.

You can prefer things without making stupid superiority claims, FFS.

In ufficio ci hanno incoraggiati ad utilizzare l'AI per compilare i nostri report per la valutazione della performance annuale.

Anche i nostri manager sono stati invitati ad usare l'AI per scrivere delle valutazioni sui nostri report.

In pratica paghiamo milioni di dollari l'anno in licenze di Copilot Enterprise per far scrivere all'AI cose che si leggerà da sola e su cui esprimerà un giudizio con cui l'AI del capo del mio capo potrà decidere di concordare o meno.

Facciamo che chi scrive il prompt migliore vince la partita e diventa lui il capo...

Today I am stepping down from my role as the CEO of #Mastodon. Though this has been in the works for a while, I can't say I've fully processed how I feel about it. There is a bittersweet part to it, and I think I will miss it, but it also felt necessary. It feels like a goodbye, but it isn't—I intend to stay on and continue to advise the new leadership and contribute, because Mastodon—and the fediverse—is one of the very few beacons of hope for a better web.
