La polizia giapponese ha detto che ci sono state circa 200 chiamate scherzose tra il 25 settembre e il 21 ottobre.

Tra i 43 bambini arrestati o avvertiti c'erano 18 studenti delle scuole elementari, 20 studenti delle scuole medie e altri cinque studenti delle scuole superiori.

Un ragazzo delle scuole medie Γ¨ stato arrestato con l'accusa di aver danneggiato una struttura dopo aver presumibilmente dato un calcio a una porta di vetro in un Koban della polizia. Ha riferito: _Ho visto un video di Shorinji Racing sui social media e ho pensato che sembrasse divertente scherzare con gli agenti di polizia._
