since the "cat's" out of the bag lemme talk about it a little
it's a synthetic/robotic cat thing, those are a couple of status leds on the ear and the "eyes" are actually screens (if you look closely you might see a blueish tint/scanlines)
unseen in the pfp are a small logo print somewhere on the back (probably, design not yet finalized) and a tail with a cap at the end that opens up to reveal a 7-pin DIN port for charging and data transfer
the current "lore" i've come up with is that it was found abandoned in some old lab or complex and refurbished by some hackers, it's powered by a bespoke (possibly?) MIPS CPU and can make noises/speak using a MOS 6581 SID
i have not yet decided on a name
if you see me saying or doing something that you might see as hateful, annoying, or just bad, please tell me; i'm still not the greatest at this social cues thing and I don't want to hurt people
i'm willing to learn from my mistakes
oh my god i did not expect the webassembly parts of ublock origin to be written using actual, honest-to-god Web Assembly™![]()
screw C, screw rust, we're writing WAT from now on

this "betanet" thing just looks like a massive grift
the internet itself is inherently decentralized, the problem is that the ecosystem has largely centralized over time to a few big players
not only does this not address that in any way, it introduces more problems by introducing a blockchain-style governance system vulnerable to 51% attacks
