Compute!'s Gazette has an article about sound cards for the Amiga, and it mentions the Amiga Real SID Player Zorro II card by Christian Bauer. It allows playback of SID tunes on an Amiga using a real SID chip through DeliTracker.

This got my interest, but in looking for info online, I just find years old Amibay listings. Is this an old, no-longer produced card? The magazine didn't mention as much.

Are these for sale somewhere?

"Dialed" into the Mac Studio wirelessly across the room for some IRCing on old hardware, here as the snow falls. ❄

I had to modify the plist and shell config scripts I'd setup on the Mac since "upgrading" to macOS 26 Tahoe to get this working without gripes in the terminal.

And a video looking at my HP 712/100 running NEXTSTEP and comparing it to the NeXTstation Turbo Color on the desk beside it.

And one of the most interesting things about the PA-RISC based HP-9000 712 series is its Color Recovery system (allowing approximated 24-bit color from an 8-bit framebuffer -- which is effective and fascinating) and also, for me, the fact that it runs NEXTSTEP.

It's my fastest NEXTSTEP machine.

A rough look at HP Color Recovery -- just a camera held up to an LCD on a HP 712/100. Loose, but gives some idea of 24-bit color from 8-bits, sans dithering.
