The sun is shining here, so it's a good day to catch up with all the washing after our few days of visitors.

They chose 5 books each and seem very happy with their choices.
It's so lovely to see little children who like books so much.
Lydia T. PottFirst visitors have gone - & it’s SO peaceful. Our ears are reverberating in the tranquility. The cats are delighted to have their house back.
I shouldn’t be relieved to see the back of my grandsons (who I do love) , but they are very noisy & the younger one is hyperactive . This time it was the parents who broke something. People are much more important than ‘things’, but ..... (We had spent a couple of days moving things to safer places & I had thought we were being a tad precious about it). And my son seems to be becoming an anti-vaxxer 😞
He used to be far more sensible! Eventually I stopped listening to him - what a shame.
I would so love for them to visit without arguments or breaking things.
Tomorrow, hubby’s eldest nephew, his wife & 3 children are coming. The little girls are adorable and very well behaved. A trip to the local book-shed is in order. They love choosing new books to read.

We don't get many visitors, & they have all decided to come at once! ( I wish they would spread it out a little over the year, but they have to go with when they can get time off work.)
Meggie is not good at 'company' so she will probably spend most of the next few days under our bed, hiding from the children. Laurie is a little braver, but he is also used to a quiet life . We might have trouble getting them both in tonight.
