Well I'm back to home improvements/electrocuting myself as the job was proving too stressful and I don't like being tied to "AI Native" without any kind of scientific process involved other than the CEO's enthusiasm. I get involved in projects to succeed, and when there are obvious roadblocks to success that I can't change there's no point in making myself ill over it.
So I've chucked my weed, beer and cigarettes that were making a comeback in my life in an attempt to manage the stress. I'd rather be poor and alive; I'm way too old to be falling back into old coping habits. And I can do cool projects.
Currently trying to fix up the two cars so they can pass the "contrΓ΄le technique". Then back to the 32kWh battery storage integration with the inverters, heat pump installation, solar panels, rainwater collection and possibly making it potable, planting mulberries, chestnuts, walnuts, sorting out a four-week chicken rotation system, and possibly aquaculture in the bottom field, etc...
It's what I actually want to do with my life. And we can just about survive on my disability benefits once my unemployment benefits come to an end in six months.
It's empowering to make this decision myself.
I'm about to do my lentil dhal/chicken dhansak mashup and I'll describe it here for my own reference because it's a pain to look at both recipes each time. Serves about 12-14 portions
Ingredients:
4 tbsp olive oil
4 onions peeled and finely chopped
chicken breasts chopped into large chunks (about 1kg)
2 tbsp curry powder
4 tsp turmeric
2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp hot chilli powder
2 tsp ground fenugreek
1 tsp salt
6 garlic cloves minced
2 tsp minced ginger
2 tbsp tomato puree
2 tbsp honey
500ml thick cream
400 g red lentils
800 ml plum peeled tomatoes
1l chicken stock (two chicken stock cubes, 1 veg)
Bumblebees live in little burrows in the ground, but when they've been busy they sleep on the job.
Just putting the original #TormentNexus tweet image here so I can tap the sign as required.
I'm feeling particularly grumpy at the moment so now is probably a good time to give up on recycling old jokes I've posted here.
Just in case you end up wondering where they went.
#bahHumbug
Edit: due to peer pressure and me being of slightly better humour I'm reversing this decision.
Edit 2: I've run out of jokes to recycle π€
Edit 3: I've started working backwards retooting the old jokes again. So terribly sorry (not sorry).

TIL the origin of Lieutenant Columbo's "just one more thing" catchphrase.
Ah, respite from the heat.
It's now hot and humid. I want my money back.
Ah, respite from the heat.
Just saw the most amazing north-south meteor that seemed to travel a third of the sky, after only five minutes of craning my neck.
IT'S TOO BLOODY HOT. ARGGGGGGHHHH!

It's 37Β°C today and tomorrow 700m up the Massif Central. This is not normal. We really need to start banging politicians' heads together so they look after the interests of everyone and our ecosystems rather than corporate lobbyists.
