Proxygen can now open, import and export HTTP Archive (HAR) files πŸ“„πŸ“„

Oh and also Charles Proxy, Proxyman and mitmproxy documents, for that matter.

Update 4.2.0 now available at
https://proxygen.app with iOS version in the review pipeline!

I know I’m biased but to me it doesn’t make any sense to do an iOS proxy app by saving all HTTP messages to one single database and using hierarchical push navigation to get to requests and responses.

Storage to documents and presenting messages using sheets is the way.

What do you think?

Fun edge case with App Store surfaced. If someone is subscribed to Proxygen yearly, enough time has passed that they can’t cancel or ask refund, and there’s a limited time lifetime discount available (like I have), they can’t switch to that lifetime one.

I noticed this when they first did the TextKit 2 version of TextEdit in macOS. I think I’m still using NSTextView in TextKit 1 mode which prevents these. In most cases I rely on my Mac build of Runestone which behaves more consistently while not being perfect either.

I wasn’t meaning to subscribe to Claude Pro for more than one month, mainly wanted to try some things out. But today let another month’s payment pass. I feel like I’m getting enough use from it that it makes sense.

Regardless of what everyone else says, summer time between WWDC and fall releases is best for pushing on new feature development. Winter time, after I see what everyone else has been up to, is when I update my apps to whatever is new that year.

This is the way.

Ooh this will fix a lot of alerts in Maptrails Catalyst app 😯😯

Funny to see that they may have actually forgot that it was so bad all this time.
