Glasses with faint etched displays in the lenses. No cameras because that is just a weird thing to do.

This LED lamp is way too bright. Should I a) reverse engineer the firmware in the unknown microcontroller or b) just replace the 500 Ohm resistor with 1K?

circuit board with two ICs that have their labels removed. one is a battery management and the other in an unknown SOIC-8 chip. a large R500 is in the center of the board.

I don't have the right SMD parts so why not bodge in a through hole resistor?

Some #WHY2025 presenters used AI generated images on their slides, which disrespects the audience, devalues the rest of the talk, and might not be compatible with the CC-BY licensing of the video recording. When are hacker camps and congresses going to have an explicit ban on slop?
