Visiting the local patch this evening to find some inner peace. Sat down the edge of a field of reed, watching some bumblebees. Looking up I met de eye of a female reed bunting, calmly sitting in the reed.

After 13 years of sharing highs and lows, it was time to abandon that sinking ship formerly known as Twitter. In October 2022 I deactivated my account #twittermigration and became active on mastodon.coffee. In September 2023 I moved to a hosted single-user instance (first Firefish, now Sharkey). New chapter in my Fediverse journey.

Short #introduction: He/Him, living in Amsterdam area, the Netherlands. Old enough to have 3 adult/teenaged kids. Interested in science (not really understanding most of it), nature, birds and watches.

Follow me for quality content. You will be surprised or disappointed. Probably the latter.
