Automatically updating content can be extremely distracting, especially for users with vestibular disorders or attention difficulties. This could force users to scroll through page content to not see the animation, or to just look away. Allow animations to be paused or stopped.

Lazyweb: I want a very basic phone switch for connecting maybe 5 SIP phones together. Flat network, doesn’t touch the Internet, I don’t care about STUN or tunnels or the PSTN or any of that. Ideally it’d run in a container and have a simple web GUI. Does that exist? It seems impossible to even ask this question without fighting off doomsayers desperate to solve network problems I don’t have.

#Radley_balko @newyorktimes@flipboard.com Last week, after federal agents dragged Aliya Rahman, a U.S. citizen, from her car and arrested her, a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson referred to her as an agitator who was obstructing immigration operations. She was trying to get to a doctor’s appointment at the Traumatic Brain Injury Center. When immigration officers used pepper spray and possibly flash grenades on a vehicle with a family inside, sending three children to the hospital, the department posted to social media, “It is horrific to see radical agitators bring children to violent riots. PLEASE STOP ENDANGERING YOUR CHILDREN.” The family was headed home from a child’s basketball game.

The rest of us have to deal with that US arrogance, when we have zero controls over US elections & their results. The rest of us, globally, have suffered under all of your governments' shitty choices - DNC & GOP - both are part n parcel of evil empire. We are fucking pissed off & have been for a long time, about that.
