Switzerland has reduced many of its tariffs on the US to 0 percent, and still Trump now hits Switzerland with new 39 percent tariffs, because he is mad that he still has a 22 billion trade deficit with the Swiss.

Obviously this would not have happened if Switzerland was in the EU, but as that is unlikely to change, it will be interesting to see what the Swiss do next. They are a small nation (9 million) to be in a trade war with the US (340 million).

The US buys 17 percent of Swiss exports.

Trump wants Ukraine to give up territory to Putin in exchange for peace, and according to CNN this includes Crimea and The Donbas.

Why did our ancestors not get a peace deal with Hitler by giving up France and The Netherlands?

Because they were not idiots.

Is there an English term for those annoying pricing strategies where a company removes essential parts of a product to lower the marketed price, and then raises the price of the part they have removed to make customers pay even more?

For instance tonight I was booking a winter holiday, and I realized the company had achieved a competitive price by cutting down the usual baggage size of 23 kg to just 10 kg, and then forcing everyone to pay extra for what was now called "additional baggage".

The convicted felon president invites an international war criminal wanted by The Hague, to take a summer vacation in Alaska.

If someone had told me this 10 years ago, I would not have thought the US could ever sink this deep.

They say dogs can be quite insisting beggars, but I can assure you my koi carp can beat any dog in any begging competition.

Because they eat a lot of what is already in the pond all day long, I only feed them once per day as a supplement.

Still, they will persistently follow my every move around the pond, constantly opening their mouthes to signal that I should definitely go get some more food.

I never give in. They never stop. So here we are.

This is the best news I have read all week. Let us hope more European countries join Germany in boycotting the genocidal Netanyahu regime.

The art of no deal:

Spain will not choose the F-35 because it is produced in Trump country, so Lockheed Martin now loses around 100 million dollars per plane, Spain is not buying, thanks to the US president.
