A former Meta lobbyist will join the DPC as a commissioner in October.
With this appointment, the Irish government does not even pretend to care about enforcing EU law anymore.

Together with @epicenter_works@chaos.social, we've filed a complaint with the EU Commission because the Austrian government is failing to properly fund the country's data protection authority.
Despite an increasing workload due to a constantly growing range of tasks, the DPA's budget was cut. Now, it will restrict its activities.
