Overnight on August 8, Ukraine faced an attack of 108 aerial targets, including 104 Shahed and other UAVs, plus 8 high-speed drones launched from Russia and occupied Crimea. The US would gradually lift most anti-Russian sanctions, possibly resume energy imports long term, but makes no promises to halt NATO expansion or stop military support for Ukraine.
Combat drones from Ukraineβs military intelligence βPrymaryβ unit successfully struck a Russian Project 02510 βBK-16β landing craft and destroyed three Russian radars: Nebo-SVU, Podlyot K-1, and 96L6E. Occupation forces in Crimea have begun hiding valuable assets in dome shelters, but Ukrainian forces also hit one such dome at Ai-Petri, where Russia had placed an air defense base.
A new KIIS poll shows 76 percent of Ukrainians firmly reject Russiaβs βpeaceβ plan, while 17 percent are willing to support it.
