Zo moest in april een supermarkt in Enschede worden ontruimd omdat een elektrisch voertuig (EV) in de parkeergarage uitbrandde.I know that when cars were originally introduced, people were also afraid of them spontaneously combusting, and manufacturers had to counter this by making them safer.
Maybe it’s time we hold the manufacturers financially responsible for fires caused by their firebomb cars? Given them an incentive to fix their shitty batteries. It cannot be just that we socialize the cost via rising FD and insurance costs to allow cost-cutting at firebomb factories.
