The National Park Service removed signs referencing slavery at the President's House site in Philadelphia this week, in a shameful attempt to erase important national history.
But the site from which the signs were removed is right on Market Street. It occurs to me that the Philadelphia city government could erect copies of the forbidden displays a few feet away on the sidewalk.

Right now Denver is the winner, but I suspect the rest of the country will catch up soon enough.
Current snow forecast for DC is for up to about 20" over the weekend, which is double the level at which cannibalism becomes temporarily legal under local law.
Possibility of 2' of snow in DC this weekend, which would create an excellent opportunity for Greenland to annex us.
I promise we will great you as liberators.

This was a rather opportunistic capture with a Leica M240 camera, a 35mm lens, and a tabletop tripod on a windowsill, just before a late afternoon thunderstorm.

AF1 diverted back to Andrews en route to Davos after an electrical problem with cabin lights was identified after takeoff. Plan is to swap aircraft and give POTUS a $13 meal voucher valid for use in the terminal.

This reads like an Onion article.
"'You know, the president, the [health] secretary, we talk all the time about religious freedom, health freedom, personal freedom, and I think we have to respect those communities that choose to go somewhat of a different route,' Abraham said during a press conference called to discuss the ongoing measles outbreaks."
Would the #CDC's principal deputy director view it as a public health loss for the US if the country loses its #measles elimination status? "Not really," Dr. Ralph Abraham said at a press conference today. https://www.statnews.com/2026/01/20/cdc-measles-briefing-lost-elimination-status-cost-of-doing-business/
Maybe Iβm out of touch with what βeveryday Americansβ care about, but Iβve literally never heard anyone say they wanted the US to take over Greenland. Or anything else about Greenland, come to think of it.
