Holiday Art Fair and Art Supply Swap

Come hang out with disabled artists, crafters, and makers at the San Francisco Disability Cultural Center as they showcase and sell their goods! And that’s not all – we’ll have an art supply swap, crafting corner, and local artist M Eilo will bring their participatory art installation for folks to play with! 165 Grove St., at Civic Center

Feeling excited, later this week I will get to hear about a cheap, DIY, PAPR model that Karen Nakamura's class has been working on this semester at Berkeley. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powered_air-purifying_respirator I am very curious to see how they approached the technical and other challenges! #GOAT #DisabilityTech

Just had an interesting question about remote control / telepresence hiking cameras and I was thinking. You know like the Be My Eyes app where you get volunteer sighted describers paired up on the fly with blind folks wanting something described? We could have a nice "Walk With Me" app, where people going on a walk around town or a hike, video it and chat real time with people who are stuck at home. The usual problems exist ofc so we need ways to vet volunteers or complain. #DisabilityJustice
