Genealogy research is pretty trippy... I was just web searching for names of great relatives and I found this photo of my great great great grandfather. Someone (who I am probably distantly related to) uploaded this photo on wikitree.com (a site I had never even heard of till just now)
wow I found a photo of my great grand parents from 1928!

I had to get a glazed donut and it was incredibly good.
Putting the Amish purple sweet potatoes in the oven for my travel tomorrow!
When he rung us up I was impressed by the use of a mechanical calculator with a paper recipt that printed the calculation as it did it. He explained that they are actually imported from germany and that he payed 400$ for this one but that it's indestructible and lasts a life time. I asked what happens if it breaks and he said there is a local Amish man who fixes them.

They had purple sweet potatoes which I absolutely had to get some of. We will have them for dinner
They had Sriracha which I had to ask them about, the Amish guy said they had a case donated to them and and my father asked if any Amish actually eat it. He said they do sometimes and that it makes his tongue tingle and gives him hiccups but that it's good on some stuff.
