At the very least, Trump should plan his big U.S.–Russia–Ukraine trilateral meeting by the water — so Zelensky has a nice place to unwind when he’s the only one who shows up.

A Trump–Putin meeting is easy enough to imagine, but I will be shocked if Putin actually agrees to sit down with Zelensky. Unless Trump is about to threaten Kyiv into submission with some insane catastrophe, I don’t see how Washington expects to get Putin to see any benefit in meeting Ze.

If Trump goes ahead with secondary sanctions this Friday and follows through on all these promised weapons sales and shipments, it will have been exactly 200 days between his 2nd inauguration and the resumption of Bidenesque Ukraine policies. Time is a flat circle!

Trump announced today that he will double tariffs on India to 50 percent, effective this month, as punishment for continued purchases of Russian oil. India is the 2nd-largest importer of Russian oil after China.
