"Unfortunately, I don't know how to contact the xscreensaver upstream (couldn't find a public repository for this program), so I'm reporting this here. Perhaps the Debian package maintainer can help forward this upstream?"
This is the world we live in now, people.
WP remember me.
Dear Lazyweb, as of recently the "remember me" checkbox on my /wp-admin/ login page is not clickable on iOS. It un-checks itself as soon as you click it. This does not happen on desktop. Any ideas?

Mozilla wants your input. Here's mine:
Mozilla should be doing two things and two things only:
1: Building THE reference implementation web browser, and
2: Being a jugular-snapping attack dog on standards committees.
3: There is no 3.
Mozilla should have NOTHING to do with AI. Nobody wants it. Stop forcing AI into every corner of every project because your VC-brained management have completely lost the plot.

GPIO madness.
Dear Lazyweb, riddle me this: Boot Pi with HDMI monitor attached: works fine. Boot without monitor: all GPIO inputs "flap" about once a second. Plug in monitor: 10 seconds later, inputs start behaving normally. Unplug monitor: remains...

UPDATE: I have now been informed NINE TIMES that HDID dongles exist by people who don't read the replies before commenting with the first thing that popped into their head, don't have an answer to my actual question, but think they know how to Google.
I am blocking every single one of you.
Don't be that guy.

Let's try a different question: How do I make a Pi4b Debian 12.11 believe that an HDMI monitor is connected even if one is not?

Singer just referred to Godzilla as a "lizard" and I have taxonomic opinions on this.
Just got a phishing email from airforce.mil.my, DKIM-signed and everything. Please don't call in an airstrike because I didn't click on the Contract Agreement.
fail2ban GC.
Over the years I've accumulated thousands of fail2ban regexps. It's a performance impact. Is there some way to figure out which ones have not been hit in a while, to remove?
https://jwz.org/b/yk1e
Welp, after my spamnesty, including a restructuring of my fail2ban jails and drastic reduction in the number of regexps being processed, performance was pretty good for a while. But in the last 8 days I've already put a 30 day ban on over *1.6 million* IPs that hit the honeypot. And now fail2ban is using a bunch of CPU again. fail2ban.sqlite3 is 2.5G.
We used to be an internet.
