Earlier in the year I scattered a load of flower seeds in a bare patch of groundβ¦then ignored them. These are the mixed cornflowers now. No thinning out. Just a riot of colour.

I just refilled the bird feeders. This wasnβt quite the visitor I was expecting π³
. Looks like they were out of luck on the supper front though.
Sparrowhawk. Not sure if female or juvenile but perhaps someone can tell me.

The fatball feeder hangs from this tree stump. It is currently empty. This young greater spotted woodpecker is hoping to manifest snacks with the power of their mind.

Heading back to Wales after a trip to the office in Oxfordshire and a βwalking meetingβ. A very different landscape to my usual. This is Round Hill, one of the βWittenham Clumpsβ chalk hills, taken from the slopes of the other, Castle Hill, an Iron Age hill fort.

Hotel hairdryer packed up as I was halfway through drying my hair. As in half my hair is dry. Itβs an interesting look.
Hotel has no reception so I canβt get a replacement.
